This is how Color Hunter works. I uploaded the cover of Jerry Pinkney's "Sam and the Tigers". It's got wonderful, vibrant colors. So on top you can see the hex colors with their codes underneath, and on the right, the image I uploaded. I couldn't understand why it didn't include the purple, so I cropped the original picture and uploaded that to see what would happen - results on the bottom. Still no purple. Colors look alike except for a white in the original swapped for a green in the cropped image. But if you check the Hex numbers, even the ones that look the same, aren't.
Curiouser and curiouser. I will investigate further . . .
